How to Apply - 2018 Community Fund Applications

United Way Newfoundland and Labrador is incredibly lucky to work with dozens of individuals, workplaces and government departments throughout 2017 and now we are ready to distribute our Community Fund dollars to charitable groups operating in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Who can apply?
Any registered charitable organization or other qualified donees as defined by Canada Revenue Agency operating in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

How do I submit my application? 
United Way Newfoundland and Labrador has worked to simplify the application process. This year we are excited to provide an online application via JotForm.

When is the deadline?
3:00 PM Monday, March 12th, 2018

What else do I need to know?

  • Applications will be accepted via the online platform only (JotForm)
  • Once applications are received, the organization contact will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days - if you do not receive a confirmation email, it is critical that you contact our office to ensure the application has been received 
  • Please be sure to submit all components of your application.
  • All successful applicants will be required to sign a Funding Agreement before grant is distributed.
  • All successful applicants will also be required to submit a Funding Report at the completion of their program/service detailing its success.
  • If organization was granted funding in 2017, a new application will only be considered, if the required 2017 Report has been submitted (deadline of 2017 reports - Feb.1/18)

February 5:                        Community Fund Grant Application  Launched
March 12 :                          Application Deadline
March 13 – March 30:       Internal Application processing
April 2 – April 20:              Review by Community Investment Committee
Week of April 23:               Community Investment Committee Meetings 
Week of May 1:                  Board Meeting to review proposed grant recipients
By May 14:                         All applicants notified of application approval/decline
