2018 Community Fund - Now Closed

Thank you to the organizations who applied for funding in 2018. The deadline to apply was March 12 @ 3:00 pm and has now ended. Applicants should receive a confirmation email from United Way Newfoundland and Labrador by March 30 with an application # - for any organization who has not received a confirmation email by this time, please call our office at 753-8288 to ensure your application is being processed and prepared for our Community Investment Committee. All applicants will be notified of application status by May 14, 2018.

Stuff-a-Sock Call for Donations

For the past 8 years, United Way has teamed up with charities and workplaces across the province to coordinate its annual Stuff-a-Sock Campaign. Last year with the help of our wonderful sponsors, workplace partners, community groups and the general public, we distributed over 2000 stockings to vulnerable adults acorss Newfoundland and Labrador. This year requests have increased once again to over 2600 stockings. For the past 8 years, United Way has teamed up with charities across the province to coordinate its annual Stuff-a-Sock Campaign. $500,000 in Community Fund Grants Awarded!

United Way Newfoundland and Labrador distributed $500,000 to 52 community organizations this morning during its Community Fund Distribution Event. In total, 53 projects and programs from across the province received funding. For the last 5 years, United Way of Newfoundland and Labrador has brought together hundreds of volunteers from partnering workplaces with dozens of charities to take part in one super-charged day of volunteering.
