Environmental Education Commission



The Environmental Education Centre is a residential outdoor school dedicated to helping students learn about the environment. It is also a perfect destination for family reunions, retreats, artistic workshops, youth camps or simple relaxation. The Centre is operated by The Environmental Education Commission which is is a non-profit voluntary trust responsible for the management and operation of The Environmental Education Centre (EEC) located in Deer Park, 75 km west of St. John's, Newfoundland.

Program: Environmental Education Centre's School Program $8,000 (2017): The program involves a school class staying overnight in a wilderness setting. They explore the forest, bogs, and ponds, and learn about the outdoors.

Funding from United Way is used to provide free places in the program for students or classes who cannot otherwise afford to pay the associated fees.
